Pistol Grip To Full?

Featured Replies

Hey guys decided to fix up one of my grandpas rods that he gave me over the winter(lews speed stick 5'8" "best worm/lure driver") and I just can't get used to the pistol grip. Is there any way to put a full cork grip on it or should I leave it like it is? Thanks

I had a local tackle shop extend the handle on a rod I had.  They left the reel seat and glued in a piece of rod blank then installed cork.  cost me about $30.

In my opinion I would leave it as is in memory of your grandfather- even though you are lucky enough to still have your grandfather around. I don't. All the men in my family are long since dead and gone and now I am the eldest male in my family having inherited all of their fishing gear. Let that rod collect dust for awhile if you do not like it now and put your money into a rod you can use now.
