Looked at the weather reports and seems like there's going to be a warm (50 degree) rain tonight. Just wondering what effect it would have on bass activity in a small pond? The pond I plan to fish at is only about 2 acres large, max depth of 2.5 feet with soft silt bottom covered in leaves and no cover to speak of besides on a few shallow flats (which have some stalks). There are two aerators in the middle. I went earlier today (40 degree weather) but got skunked. Any suggestions or tips are welcome.

Try a 4 or 5 inch Keitech easy shiner, or their Fat impact swimbait. 

Try fishing a weightless tube and dragging it really slowly. I have shallow pond that I fish sounds pretty similar. Right when the ice comes out I drag a tube really slowly and I can usually get a few bites. 

Look for where there is water running in.  That water will be the warm rain water.  Slow roll a swimjig.  Have had success on this pattern

Which of those do you prefer? Ive only used the swing impact, havent really heard much on the east shiner yet

At this point I would have to say the swing impact, but only because I have been using them for a lot longer.  I just started using the easy shiner very recently, but so far they have been doing VERY well for me.

I bought a pack of the easy shiners because my local tackle shop didn't have the swing impact FAT's in the color Sight Flash.  I am happy I did.
