Mini Cranks

Featured Replies

Here are a few mini cranks, 1 1/4" long. A few foils in the mix with some regular paint.

John, that's a fine looking batch of mini cranks.

Thanks guys, glad you like them.

Florida strain, on these small baits the single hook works fine on the fish and comes through weeds and light cover great.

Look great, I have a question though. How do you get the wire though the computer chip lips?

Captain Obvious, you drill a hole.

Thanks man but I think I had that much figured out ;D

I mean don't you have to make sure its in the dead center of the lip and how do you determine that? And how far into the body do you have the wire going?

Usually when I make lips make 4-8 at a time in any given pattern. The pattern is made by laying it out on 1/4" squared paper, marking a center hole from a centerline. Next I cut the pieces to rough size and fix them together with a very small amount of contact cement. This allows me to cut them to shape and drill the hole for the wire on all the lips at one time. I make the pattern from metal so I can always duplicate it again.

Did not mean to sound like a wise guy, but wasn't sure what you meant.

No offense taken, my question wasn't specific enough ;)

Those are sweet, I use to fish strike king itsy bitsy pond minnow in a creek and would slay smallies, I would love to throw those instead ;) im diggin the single hook on the back, those tiny treble hooks bend easy and get stuck on every thing, and break easy.
