Crankbait Contest for Virginia's TBF at Richmond Fishing Expo in January

There will be a new Virginia TFB Lure Making Contest at the Richmond Fishing Expo this coming January.

Lonnie Hill of Castaways (804) 706-9100) has made the balsa crankbait kits at a cost of $3 each.

There will be three divisions: 11 to 14; 15 to 18; and an Open Division for everyone.

The kids will get a savings bond while the adults will win a VISA gift card.

Sponsorship is $50 if any businesses want to help support this endeavor.

There are two balsa crankbaits in each kit and you can design them as you wish. NASCAR, NFL, NBA, college team, bunnies, Bambi, Burley, dogs, your bass boat, a secret design, etc. Anything goes. Just keep it clean.

Hope some of you guys  and gals and your children will get a kit and enter the contest.

If you are out of town you can mail your cranks to Lonnie at Castaways so he can bring them to the Expo.

This should be lots of fun seeing what the kids and adults design.
