Bank fishing at Lake of the Ozarks

Featured Replies

I'm hoping someone who lives around the area can help me out with this.

I live not too far from LOZ but have never fished it. I don't have a boat and so I'm pretty much stuck to the shore most of the time. Does anyone know of some decent spots for bank fishing? I know the topography and dock/condo/private land situation is not ideal for it, but I'm hoping there's an area or two that might be good.

I bank fish alot when I'm down at LOZ but only because we've got property in the family and I know all my neighbors. You'll be hard pressed to find any stretch of bank that isn't privately owned. Try and at least put in with a kayak or jon boat. It may limit what you can throw, but at least you'll be able to drag a jig or crank a wart wherever you please.

Think you will have to fishing the state parks that have shoreline.  Should be able to get access in those areas?
