Help picking out a fish finder

Featured Replies

Hey yall so I have a small bass tracker with a 25 HP motor. Got a new Lorance fish finder for the front. It has side scan I think but no GPS still trying to figure it out. But I want another fish finder right beside the console. If like to get one that has GPS. Any suggestions around 400 bucks?

And also how would I mount it?

Lowrance, during the Bass Pro Spring Fishing Classic has some super deals going. Bundled deals with StructureScan and deals on Gen-2 touch screen HDS units. You also get BPS Triple Crown deals as well. Great units....Great savings!

So I have a bass tractor with a 25 HP. I believe it's a pro team 175. The lowan is a elite 5x chirp i think. The one without a gps

You don't have side scan. At the most you may have 2D sonar and Down Scan. No Elite models are Side Scan capable.

Until this year you could not get Side Scan unless you had a HDS unit with the Structure Scan transducer.

If you want side scan in that price range, then the new models for this year featuring the Total Scan transducer would be your only choice with a Lowrance product. The Elite 5 Ti would be as close to that price range and I think there are new product rebates going on this month. Do a web search for that model to see its capabilities, very good for the price.

There should be a flat spot on the right side of the console to put it.

Yeah I meant down scan not side. I'd just like to get one with GPS mainly

Can't beat the garmin 73sv

Has awesome maps , gps, sidescan, downscan, split frequency traditional sonar, and can be found for $500 or $550 at the bps spring sale.

I got mine at cabelas for $500 last thanksgiving online. Garmin is offering the most value for the money of any of the brands right now.

Beat that for $500.
