I just got a truck and am planing to keep a fishing rod in it so I can fish whenever I want. It is a two piece medium bait cater rod and I plan to fish baits like buzz baits, football jigs, etc. What line should I put on the reel since I will use it in different places that I will not know what to expect. Should I use braid or fluorocarbon?

Braid is probably the only one that won't be affected by temperature. Some people are going to braid on every combo. If I could only ahve one, that's what it would be. If you feel it affects bites, you can take some floro for a leader, but it can get brittle in extreme cold.
