Browning Midas baitcasting reel...Is it a good reel?

I recently stopped by the BPS classic sale and they had a Browning Midas for $59 and $10 off if you trade in a reel...I notice it retails for 99 bucks and the specs on the reel seem to be really good..lightweight, almost similar to the white Morris reel....

Has anyone used the Browning reels and are they good? They all felt nice at the store and I could use a $50 baitcaster to go with a rod I have, and I have never had any experience with Browning...They also had a GT for same price, but then again, I see the Black Daiwa Laguna going for $29.99 and thinking maybe that is the better deal? 

Any input would help...Does anyone know when the Mettle reels from Academy go on sale usually? I remember them being $29.99 at one point and I really want to try that reel out since it only has great reviews, I can't find a review for the Midas since 2010....Thanks.
