memphis tn fishing spots

im a catch and release guy dont worry. im wondering where is a decent fishing area not to far from germantown tn. im into bass and catfish. wheres a good place that holds decent sized bass and catfish? im trying to break my pb bass of 8 pounds and catch a few decent sized catfish. im not into huge catfish just anything around 1-15 pounds is fine for me. what baits and lures to use there? i tried herb parsons sunday didnt get a bite out of any bass but i lost a red lipless crank bait on a tree and caught a small 12 inch catfish. was gonna let it go but i gut hooked it good and it wouldent swim away so i kept it. and what area is the best to fish at herb parsons for bass and catfish? i fished near the small bridge near the boat dock...

any one would like to also probaly share any honey holes? lol
