Fish finder battery

Featured Replies

I am planning to purchase a side imaging fish finder and need to understand if I can power it from the same 12 volt battery that powers my MotorGuide 45# trolling motor. I have heard that it may pick up some interference from the trolling motor.

If I should use a separate power supply, what would you suggest based on approximately 8 hours use in a day? Would the 12 volt 8 amp rechargeable battery that Cabela's sells make sense?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin
