Waitlisted?

Featured Replies

I recently registered/paid deposit for a co-angler spot in the Central BASS Open on the Arkansas River.  As expected, I was put on the WAITLIST.

This is my first time, and I'm curious what your experience with this process has been?  Guess on what my odds will be of actually getting a co spot in the tourney?

Tight lines!

Congrats, as a co remember to not over think things.  I was a victim to that on one of my tournaments as a co and spun myself out instead of rethinking and adjusting.

Don't feel alone, you're not the only one...

I actually look forward to not thinking so much - I'm hopeful being a co will be liberating!

As the guy that usually fishes from the front, I feel like I spend more time thinking about where we're going next or controlling the dang boat than I do fishing.  It'll be nice relinquishing that responsibility and just fishing.  The way I see it, it's a two (maybe three) day guided trip with the chance to win some $$$. :)

I'm fishing that one as a coangler too.

Spent my years fishing college tournaments and I can't say I would be ready to fish an open, BFL etc even as a co-angler. Most of our stuff was done as a team. Don't even know how it works. Am I the bad guy for flipping into a bush and sticking a 5lber when my boater needs a kicker? Tough stuff.

T Bone...I say this with all due respect..You're over thinking it too much.

I've been fishing tounament's  (BFL, Bass Nations, TBF, clubs, charities) for years all as a co angler and honestly I prefer it that way. The only thing you can't control is where you fish and how long you're there. That's it!

Have and show respect for your boaters space and equipment and just do your thing. As far as sticking a 5lb when he needs one that's just fishin Pal. You're both on the same water just 10ft apart. Most boaters will be happy for you, others not so much especially if there are no divisions and you're fishing heads up against each other. In the National circuit's there are separate divisions.

Will you get back boated if you're on a bite and he's not...Sure, it's gonna happen. But just keep in mind you always have options..Sometimes not too many, but there are always options.

If you have any specific questions just ask. Do a search here and be prepared to read.

Good Luck to you

Mike
