GLX 847 or 957 for 2oz. baits? NRX 916C too stiff for swimbaits?

Featured Replies

I'm a loomis guy and I'm gonna be picking up some GLX crankbait rods. There heavy rod is rated for 1 3/8oz. I don't know if that will handle 2oz. baits like the 10xd ect? I'm also picking up a 916C UMB rod, does anyone know if there too stiff to be used as a swimbait rod? Thanks

The NRX 916C UBR works quite well with swimbaits and may even work with the 10xd.  I keep meaning to try to fish my 10xd with my 916, but have yet to do so (I used my SWBR 953C whenever I have fished the 10xd).
