I fish a great bank spot with a ton a largies, problem is there's A LOT of dead vegitation from after ice melt.

I've caught bass in this spot by pitching a plastic, and occasionally throwing a spinnerbait where I can manage to squeeze one in. But honestly it's almost impossible to even fish a spinnerbait because the dead weed is so thick.

I like pitching, but without a target to pitch to (the weeds are below surface for most of the spring), it can seem like a needle in a hay stack. Even pitching a creature bait or jig I pull in a ton of dead grass.. I can't pitch it out too far or it's very hard to get back to shore. 

What techniques should I consider to heighten my odds of cover a large area without a target to fish to.. I'm guess top water is a good way but what if they aren't hitting top water that day..?

I know the fish are there because I do catch.. I just wanna catch more and be able to cover more water..

What should I consider?

Try a weightless plastic on a light wire hook.  Fish it on mono and you should be able to keep t on top of the weeds. You can dead stick it, hop it off and let it settle back atop  them, or slowly drag it. Go with something without appendages and a lot of salt like a tube or gjelly worm.  It's also a great way to fish submerged vegetation anytime you're presented with it. 

Maybe punch it...1oz tungsten and a sleek trailer. 

If you get it through you can cover every sq ft. 

i'm with papajoe... twitch some lightweight plastics.  Fluke or senko would be my goto.

Swim jig, bladed jig, or swimbait ticking off the top of the weeds should work too.
