Old original BPS Extreme reel

Featured Replies

Greetings to my fellow bassers from a newbie on the block. I recently acquired several of the old BPS Extreme reels ( green, twist locking cam side plate, six pin anti-backlash... Pinnacle Extant I believe) in very good condition. They seem to be solid, smooth reels with a decent drag system. I am sure some of you must have used them back in the day. What was your experience? Are they keepers? How do they compare to the " under $100 club " of present day offerings? Thank you for your input....RH

I had a pile of them, fished them hard for years. With that being said not even close to the sub $100 club of present day, not as refined. Keep them cleaned and lubed and you'll get a lot of service out of them.
