I need a little help figuring out what rods are for what lures. I just got into fishing and I want a froggin rod, cranking rod, jig rod, and a finesse casting rod. Can someone please tell me the length and power and action for each of these?

I'm sure people have lots of recommendations. How much are you willing to spend? For a CB rod let me start by recommending the Dobyns Fury 705CB. It's pretty typically  $109 but you can snag it for $25 less at a few places by signing up for their mailing list. 

Frog rod...7'3" or so heavy power 

Crankbait rod...7' medium power/moderate action

jig rod...7' to 7'6" medium heavy power

finesse rod...I prefer spinng rods, but a 7' medium to medium light 

Fishing from shore or from a boat?

Shallow cranks or deep?

Open water or around and in cover?

What kind of cover?

Treble or bottom contact finesse baits?
