Splitting a frogs skirt?

As with many other frog lure tips i just read that any frogs with a single skirt such as a scum frog popper, should split the skirt to make it look realistic. I was wondering if any of you have thought this would help or not as i love fishing frogs but i have had great luck without doing this.

    I wouldn't split it.  That would be like me asking to split the rabbit fur on the Deps Slither.  Dont over think it and just fish it.  You want a frog with a seperated skirt, buy one that's already that way.  Just my opinion.  Oh, and welcome to the forums.

    I agree with GulfCaptain, just fish it. Let the time on the water with the lure be your guide.
