Hey guys

I currently have a JK Big Tuna and I want to add a fish finder to it. I think that I'm going to pick up a Garmin Striker 7sv. I plan on using it on both the kayak and my friends jon boat.

I want to use a Ram Transducer Arm so that I can switch back and forth from both boats, but I don't think that the transducer will mount properly to the arm. The transducer number is GT52HW-TM. It is similar in shape to the Lowrance LSS but is not exactly the same. Does anyone have ideas about how I could get this to work or how I could rig up a transportable system that will get the transducer deep enough in the water for the sidevu to work properly??

I believe the Mad Frog Liberator might give you the transducer depth you need. The TDA16 has a 16" long arm and the TDA19 has a 19" long arm.

The convenient thing about the Liberator arm is that is can be easily flipped up out of the way when in shallow water.

and there is always the DIY trip to Home Depot way!

i have that RAM arm and it works on the kayak, but it might not be long enough for the jon to be honest.  i do think that you could figure out a way to rig that transducer up though with a long enough bolt to go through and put some spacers in between.

Sadly when it comes to transducers and kayaks, you just have to purchase, then modify to make it work for you. At least that has been my issue for the last ten years until I went to an Atak.
