LOL. Heh. Happened to me with another brand. The fish I
weighed was pounds lighter than it should have been...
Stupid thing was set for KGs... Heh.

Happened to me recently as well. Weighed one that was a little over five pounds and couldn't figure out why it was showing half of that on the scale. Felt like an idiot as I kept resetting and weighing until I noticed the kg at the top.

oops...No wonder all the fish my buddy and I were catching were all showing up a few pounds lighter than I estimated and I figured the scale was broken..I need to call my friend and tell him to check the scale...It is the Rapala Lock N Weigh 20lb scale or 50..Can't remember, I rarely use it, but he loves it and I let him keep it, and lately he will send me a pic of a 3lber and I am looking at it compared to his arm and thinking " That fish is an easy 21", so it has to be 5lbs plus this time of year...How is it 3?

I guess it is not broken, I bet that is the problem. Glad you asked this question. I am not familar with scales and how they work etc...but I do like having it on good trips just in case we catch one that is possibly over 8lbs. I hope the scale is not broken considering it was not cheap and only opened last year,so I just figured it needed to be calibrated or something...That makes sense....He had a 19" Fish on the scale a few weeks ago and it was saying right about 2lbs according to him and I just told him it was wrong, the fish was a solid 4lbs give or take a 1/4 lb...

Thx for the question, I hope that is what the issue is since it get's lots of use, he loves to weigh everything from bluegills to bass to bowphin...
