it's been a good weekend.  yesterday afternoon got a nice 7 pounder off a bed.  (no one to take pics, sorry).  today i had planned on looking around for more big bass, but that plan was derailed when i found some very nice bream beds.  i quickly forgot about the bass and went to work catching a bunch of nice redears, bluegill, and hybrids of the two  - and i mean some of these things were crappie sized.  honestly if these got just half a pound bigger, i'm not sure i'd ever fish for bass again.  so much fun on spinning gear and light line.  all caught on modified baby rage craws.

I bet them things would be fun on 4/5wt fly gear

i get a big kick out of catching some big bream on light gear...  try to get out with my brother and do that when i get up to visit him as there's some great places around his house to catch some big ones!  Nice going Paul!

i prefer them on my 3wt   and they are a blast.  When the spawn is on, i try and take newbies out because you can literally catch a fish on every cast.  I caught a fish on 38 consecutive casts once and i know a bunch were caught more than once too.
