Featured Replies

I am thinking of buying a new Ficht motor and wanted some feedback on other who own them. How is BRP's customer service ect.

I have a 99 Ficht 200 horse and haven't had any problems at all. I thought I had heard thou that the new E-Tec motors were replaceing the Ficht line.

I am buying a motor before the 115 E-Tec comes out. Do you think this is a mistake? Are the motors that big of difference. I really don't want to wait till next year to by a motor. Do you think I would be better off to buy the Johnson 4 stroke 115 instead? My only other choice is a honda 115 and they weigh 500 lbs. I don't know if I want to put 500 lbs. on the back of a seventeen ft boat. :o :0 ???

I put off buying a new ride because of the 225 HO that is coming out soon. From what I'm hearing at the shows the E-Tec will out perform everyother outboard on the water. Faster top end, better holeshot, lower emissions than any 4-stroke on the market today and great fuel economy.

I hated to wait to but I think it'll be worth it.

I have a 200 HO ficht and have had no problem with it except they fire so hot you have to check the spark plug gap every 40 hours but most people dont run 40 hours a year. The new E= techs are even better and if you buy before April 15 their extended warranty cant be beat 7 years

Evinrude -Johnson on top for now
