Do I need to format it to work on the Humminbird Helix 5 SI? Wayne P. Can maybe answer this for me.

    Don't have to, but formatting it will assure it works properly.

    The Helix 5 and 7 series have microSD card readers. Max size the unit can use is 32 GB.
