Just got a delivery from BPS.

Brandy new Minn Kota 55#pd/ap/us and some new seat mounts and posts.

Now for the dilema.

I was gonna gut the boat of it's present setup and redo the floor to add decking, storage and portable livewell.

Hmmmmm, to do it right will probably take several weeks of nights and weekends (missing out on precious early season fishin).

Maybe just "rig" it for now and plan the major overhaul for later this fall.

I would wait for winter, I am just finishing up on my project, and i started in november.

Nick Barr what have you been working on... i need some ideas i have to get creative and keep it cheap

I have a guy in central NJ who redecked mine (14 ft. jon boat) in 3 days (friend of mine).  He would do it at a reasonable price if you want it done in a hurry.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm definitely a DIY kinda guy.

The fun is more in doing the work and getting the personal results.

Besides I'm planning on more than just decking....... it'll turn into more of a working project I'm sure.

I fished out of a "homemade" bass boat for years.Some of the best memories I have about fishing are in that boat. I could go places that the big boys couldn't get to.Half of the fun is using your imagination and building it.Good luck.You'll have many a good time in it.
