Has anyone ever heard of a COUGAR bass boat?

I just purchased a 15' 4" fiberglass bass boat, with a Tennessee trailer and I cannot find out anything about the boat. It looks like it is in good shape, been sitting up since 2003. I am going to have to get it rigged out. Any help or knowledge will be welcomed.

I bought it for $350.00 and had in mind rigging it out and using it. Since I am new to using these type boats, do any of you have any suggestions whether I should put a motor on it, what price and size motor should I look at and any helpful info you all may have. Should I forget it and look for a used boat rigged out? Keeping in mind that it is not a "brand name" or at least I don't think it is. I thought that I would come out real good at the price I paid.

Thanks,

Walter

I just got back from looking at at a boat, heavy duty Cox trailer, an Evinrude 85hp, and a 50hp Chrysler that the seller wants $400.00 for. The 85 is on the boat now. He bought it to fix up and use but decided the boat was too much trouble he didn't have time to work with it. The Evinrude model number is 85293R and I did not get the Chrysler number. Would this be worth buying and if needed rebuild the Evinrude? I really don't want to have more in it than it is worth.

Thanks,

Walter
