Today I hit the river for a few hours after school. I ended up catching about 15 1-2 pound largemouth on a weightless fluke. The biggest fish were a pair of 3 pound smallmouth that i caught on a jerkbait.  Pretty good 3 hours on the 'doah.

yeah i'll take that everyday of the week!  nice going!

Yeah I saw my PB smallmouth explode on my topwater but he didn't get hooked so that made me kinda mad but all in all a good day.

I was hoping to fish the river this week but I figured with all the rain we've had for the past 2 weeks she would be chocolate. I'm imagining you are a good bit south of me but how was the water clarity?

I almost made it to Egypt Bend today, think I may try for Lake Frederick tomorrow but congrats on a great outing !!!!

Thanks Nitrofeak. I am on the way back from lake anna right now and it was rough today. I caught 3 on a brush hog and 1 on a square bill. Egypt bend is a nice place but I haven't had much luck there this year.
