Inshore saltwater/bass rod

Featured Replies

I need a 2pc spinning rod that can handle inshore specks/flounder/red fishing, yet also used for flipping and pitching for bass. Any recomendations for a specific rod or rod action/weight? I need it to be 7' to 7'6", 7'6" being preferred. I'd like for it to be under $75, otherwise I'll just get the star stellar lite or the hurricane redbone. This will be paired with a penn fierce and 303 braid for inshore, and 50# for heavy cover bass.

The Calico Jack (also by hurricane) goes for 59.99, and is a tremendous bang for the buck from what I've heard.  If you buy it at Dick's, you can often find a $10 off coupon in the fishing regulations book at the counter

Just go with the Star it's a great rod.
