Tatula JDM/USDM comparison

Recommended Posts

Doing some research on these as I may be grabbing 2 of them in 5:1 and only the JDM model offers lefty. If anyone is interested here's what I found are the actual differences... Enjoy

  • JDM Tatula has a Titanium-nitride coated line guide.
  • 80mm skeletal ‘curved’ swept handle (similar to T3) equipped with Daiwa I-knob on the JDM vs. 90mm ‘straight’ skeletal swept handle with oversized paddle knobs on the US Tatula.
  • JDM Tatula is equipped with a lightweight ultra-duralumin shallow spool (Line cap of 14lb-100m/16lb-85m) vs. US Tatula’s ported, high-capacity spool (Line Cap: 14lb-120m/16lb-100m).
  • Black-coloured frame (JDM) vs. Gun-metal grey coloured frame (US).
  • Gun-metal grey coloured cast control knob with coloured accents (JDM) vs. solid coloured cast control knob.
  • JDM Tatula has a anodized lock nut plate while the US Tatula has a handle nut cover.
  • Weight of 220g (JDM) vs. 225g (US)
  • Manufacturer specified max drag pressure of 5kg (JDM) vs. 6kg (US).
  • JDM Tatula is available in 5.4, 6.3, 7.3 and 8.1 gear ratios while the US Tatula is available in 5.4, 6.3 and 7.3 gear ratios.
