Hds 8 gen 2 what do I need.....?

Featured Replies

I just picked up this unit.  Only the head unit,  I have it installed on the bow with a puck and linked to my console unit elite 7 chirp.  I have a lss 2 module on the way.  Do I need a different transducer to use the side imaging?  If so, can I still use the puck on the troller and put the new one in the hull and run both?

An LSS-1 or LSS-2 setup is the data box and Structure Scan transducer.

If you are just getting the box, you will have to purchase the LSS Structure Scan transducer that will give you Side Scan and Down Scan.

Structure Scan does not have 2D sonar, only the latest Total Scan transducer does all three.

The total scan transducer only works with Gen3 units & Elite Ti
