Is there a website or number I can call on water levels at Holiday Park and canals nearby,so I don't have to waste my time and find out that it is too high when I take my boat there?

Welcome to BR. as far as your question goes, there's no phone # that I'm aware of that will tell you water levels in the Everglades. There is a water mgmt site that will tell you what dams are open. It's a little complicated for me to decipher. Rule of thumb out in the glades are the following: Summer is high water season, Spring is low water season. This year however, due to an unusual amount of rain in the winter, the Glades water levels didn't completely drop and fishing never got ridiculous. Your best bet to follow water levels is to to follow the reports. Good luck out there. 

There is a web site that gives the water levels and whether they have gone up or down.  It is South Florida Water Management site.  It has an endless amount of information amd a variety of choices of different readings.  There are hundreds of reading stations all throughout the state and you can see how much water levels went up or down yesterday at each site.  They give a map of all the reading site locations.  Like Lou said, its not easy to figure out, but loaded with information.  It could be beneficial to find out the areas they are pumping water into from the lake.  From the home page there are loads of informational pages  to open. 

The Army Corp of Engineers site will give you information on the Lake.
