I have a 12' flat bottem jonboat. Only use a trolling motor. I'm thinking about a depth finder for it. Don't want anything thats gonna eat up to much juice and would like a rather compact model since I dont have a lot of room. any thoughts?

    Eagle Cuda and hummingbird parana max are both good compact ones, i have a hummingbird 535 an it does not take up much sapace on my 12 footer.

    hey I have the same set up I have an eagle and its doing the job.Havent noticed any difference at the end of the day with my trolling motor. You can also get portable battery powered units and cabelas make a rechargeable 12 v baterry system for this pourpose
