Got out for a few hours before work on friday.  Finally felt conditions were right to try out my new spro rat 40. Water temps were high 60s, and the skies were overcast air temp high 50s low 60s. I was correct the conditions were perfect for the rat i got 7 lmb in just over 2 hours.  What a blast nothing huge biggest was 3.4 all others were between 1 and 2.8oz.

Topwater rats just seem to get plowed like few other things.  I wonder if fish actually love red meat or if they're simply opportunistic.

I too wonder this, in my mind I think its just something different that they don't get all the time

nice going man!  those are some really nice looking dark colored fish there!  

also, far off topic, but i've got 3 of those contigo coffee mugs and they keep the coffee hot for an insane amount of time!

Just bought 2 of the same rats...cant wait to see how the fish slam them now
