Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any personal expierences with the Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler? How steady is the little boat for standing up and fishing? I am thinking about buying a used one and adding a casting/flipping deck to it, but I want to make sure it is sturdy before buying one.

I have a 10.5 ft 2 man Bass Baot and I only fall out 2-3 times a year ;D.  I built a home made casting deck and that was incredibly un-stable.  I just stand up in it now with out the casting deck and it is pretty stable (unless you hit a stump.... you're probably going for a swim).

I got a little boat like that for fishing ponds and I have a casting deck in it and still have not fallen out.But it is a bass tender so it is wider that a Pond Prowler.

Just another question, for now I drive a car that is to small to fit the boat inside, but a small trailer sounds like the right choice. Where could I find a cheap trailer to haul the boat around on?

In adds in the paper or motorcycle dealerships( for the flat type that those boats fit on.)

Dirt bike and motorcycle trailers, I would of never thought of that. They look perfect though, thanks for the help!

Personal Watercraft trailers also do the trick.  I don't know if you would be willing to make a trip to KC, but their is a guy at Hillsdale that sales utility trailers for hard to bat prices.  I just bought one for my two-man boat.  5 x 10, wood deck, 15 inch wheels, 3000 lbs. capacity, $600.  Most 5 x 10 trailers I looked at were in the $900-$1100 rangge.  These trailers will be a little more expensive, but they come in pretty handy for other things.  Depending on how big your boat is you may be able to go down to a 4 X8 and I think they were around $500.

for a trailor for mine i bought a bolt togethor trailor for 199 from harbor frieght and bolted on some 2x12's for the pontoons of the boat and i also but 2x4's on the side to keep it on. i will try to take pictures tommorow to show you
