Tiller steer hp

Featured Replies

They do make them in that range. Actually they even make them up to atleast 50hp. Up until this last year we had a 14' Lowe with a a 25hp Johnson that according to the fishfinder would go maybe 25mph. I think the engine was a 2000 or 2001. It was an electric start that ran great.

Cool. I am looking to get a biger motor for my 14' Alumacraft. how much did that motor run ya? If you dont mind me asking. Right now I have a 2.5HP evinrude. Great little motor but it takes forever to get anywhere on the lake.

A 25 HP Yamaha will scoot you on down the lake, and it does come in a tiller model. It'll run you around $2100.

You can probably pick up a very good used 25 tiller merc or OMC for $500 or so.  Last summer I bought a 14ft boat, excellent 83, 25 merc and nice galvanized trailer for $325.  Boat was rotted out junk but all I was wanting was the motor.

I wish I could buy a new one. Maybe next years tax return. Ben, whare did you see ones that cheap? Around here a used one in the 25-35 hp range are still 800-1000 bucks.
