I bought a new chronarch and I've noticed a little problem. Whenever I'm fishing light tackle like a work for instance, when I try to reel in slack in my line it has trouble keeping the line tight on the spool  I've never had this issue with any other reel. Any ideas on how to correct it?????

Are you using braid?  If so, you should use mono backing otherwise the line slips around the spool plus it saves expensive braid line.
