im new on here and i was wondering if any one has a 02 150 2 stroke jhonson on thier boat. the reson i ask is because ive been having a lot of trouble with my motor chokeing out on take off.

by the way its on a 18 foot stratos boat

I've got a 17' 6" Javeline renegade with a 150 hp

johnson both are 1999 models.

I've had the boat for 2 months and it's been in the shop more than on the water, right now i have to make a decision to keep it after 2nd rebuild or to buy something different.

Mine also seems to choke out on take off.

it blew 2 cylinders last Saturday. This is the 2nd time in 2 months, the place I bought it from has been awsome and so far it hasn't cost me anything.

Last time they just rebuilt the bad cylinders, this time  they are putting in a new power head.
