rodknocker Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 im not sure what part of the country you live in or what it is your looking for (a boat i know) but i may be able to help always finding good deals on boats just cant seem to find a motor big enough for mine Quote
AUWilly Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 If you are still looking for a good pond boat I have one. It is a 12 ft aluminum jon boat v-hull. I got it from a man that was using it at his pond. It has a few dents, but no leaks. I am in the process of buying a bigger fishing boat and will be selling it. I would be willing to throw in a new Minn Kota 46lb thrust trolling motor with it for $500. If you are interested or would like to see some pictures let me know at markwilliams@knology.net. The boat is located in North Alabama. Quote
fishinfool Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I've got a small 9' pond boat. I've used it many times but don't have the time anymore. It works great, if you are interested i'm sure I can sell it to you for about $100. I've got a Minn Kota to go along w/ it i'll throw in as well. E-mail at mlong@ipack.com if you're interested. Look forward to hearing from you. Quote

playmaker47 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 ive got a 10' jon boat with a 36 lb thrust minn kota transom mount. works great for ponds. i put a rod holder in it too. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 You can find a jon boat and trailer for around $500 easily.Look in the classifieds of 2 or 3 papers several times a week and you'll eventually find what you want. With an outboard that runs good, they'll ask anywhere from $1000-$1500.By the way,LBH,nice rig! Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Thanks RR. I found mine by driving around. I'm a UPS driver so I left a note on every door that had a jon in the yard. I asked if they were interested in selling and left my number. Many people have them sitting in their yards and havn't been touched for years. All they need is to be shown how that eyesore in the backyard can be converted to a couple of hundred dollar bills. Good luck in your hunt. I would suggest driving around in a "lake" neighborhood, they are everywhere. Quote
Cujo Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 look at those pond prowlers on cabelas or bass pro shops. they are plastic pontoon boats 8 to 12 ft. long. great for small ponds and are very stable Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 For less money, a jon also provides more room. JMO Quote
