16'6" Cajun with 112 Evinrude - Need Prop

Featured Replies

Alright guys, my prop has some dings and is not in the best shape, what prop would you all recommend.  Not wanting to spend a bunch on this boat right now.  Just want to get it in better shape.  My biggest problem is determing what pitch to get.  I did read the article in here on that, but is there a easier way to determine what pitch I need.  Especially since my Tac. isn't working.  I understand that more pitch less RPM's on the engine and vice versa.  What's a good compromise?

See if you can go to your local dealer and test out some props. Usually they have some laying around to test out or you give them collateral such as credit card, etc. until prop is returned. you are right on the rpm to pitch ratio

you can get a comprop from bass pro for under 100 bucks.A friend of mine bought one as a spare and has been using it all the time this whle year andits held up great, the best thing about them is they will shear off the blades before damaging lower unit.
