What storage compartment handle do you like?

Featured Replies

Every time I try to open my storage compartments for my my tackle boxes it about breaks my fingers, :) so I'm looking to by some new pull handles.  Any pros or cons on the hardware I should be looking for?  I'm am looking at the ones that have a T handle and ones that have a ring.  Which one do you guys prefer? Do I need the lock?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

All I can say is make sure they are manual.  My buddy has a boat with "pushbutton-pop-up" locker doors.  Pure crap, The springs wore out quickly and now you need to get somthing under the lip of the door to lift it.

I use locked ringpull latches that I bought from Cabelas a few years back. Just checked but they dont stock them anymore. They fit flush to the floor and dont get in the way of my feet.

I'm going to rebuild my boat in the spring and fit new cabelas custom hatches so I'll have to start looking over again for new latches.
