my "NEW???" pond boat

Featured Replies

a guy had this Ugly boat & trailer sitting by the road on the way to town for a couple of months. i finally got in touch w/him (young man, probably late teens, early twenties), he said he wanted $250..i said, no thanks, not interested.  he asked me what i would give, i told him $100, he agreed to $125 & he delivered to my house.

tires were shot, so, i went to ag south, bought two new ones for $24 plus change, each. got a trailer jack stand from cabelas for $19.99.  ..i had this old platform & trolling motor on another jon boat years ago, so, i just cut it down to fit.  bought a new battery & "voila"  for around 3 bills, i have me a Genuine Pond Boat.

took it out today to christen it & Wore Them Out, had a Fantastic day.  ... hey, anybody want to go pond fishing? Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I love the seat. ;D  Let me give you some advice:

Put a $700 depth finder on the front

Put a $2500 kicker motor on the back

Put a $900 bow mounted trolling motor on it

Put a $3000 speaker system under the bench seats

Give it a "tricked out" paint job (I think I have that lingo right)

Document all of your modifications on video

Send the tape to ESPN and pitch them the idea of starting a show based off of "Pimp My Ride" that deals with     bass boats.

Anyone have an idea what he should call it???  BASS TECH maybe!!!

Hey, enjoy the boat.  You have a great find.

Man that's awsome. What a deal. That rod is worth more than the boat.  It reminds me of my first pond boat. A large piece of stirofoam and a paddle. Man was it fun. Where in SC do you live?
