Spencer W
Just curious what some of you are using for trolling motor batteries?
preach4bass
I've had good luck with Everstart batteries. I have a 24v Minn Kota, and I fish it at about 70% on my home river and I can fish an 8 hour day like I want to without trying to conserve any juice. I've had other batteries but they didn't do that good. I'm sure there's probably some better, but I'm fine with what I can get from Wal-Mart. ernel
I am using the Everstart Max batteries in my rig. The batteries are made by Johnson Control if I remember correctly. Johnson Control is also the company that mfg Optima batteries as well as Duralast, and Die Hard.
Madhouse27
The past two seasons I've used a pair of Everstarts for my trolling motor and one for the outboard. To be honest my expectations about Everstart was pretty low going into it. I needed to buy all three batteries at once so the low price was a big selling point. I even got a cheap Everstart marine battery charger. Those Everstart batteries save my butt on many occasions. My old outboard was not very reliable and I came all the way across the lake under trolling motor power on several occasions. I'm sure there are better batteries out there, but I've more than gotten my moneys worth out of the Everstarts.
Pa Angler
I have Interstate batteries that came with the boat with only two seasons of use on them so only time will tell how long they will last but they have been as good as can be expected. I have two group 29 batteries for the 24V trolling motor and two group 27 batteries for cranking and for the accessories that I need to run when night fishing.
