paparock
Well it seems I may be heading to Florida to pick up a 2003 Bennington 2050FSi fishing pontoon this coming week. My wife made an offer that was accepted so here goes nothing. At least it has four fishing chairs, trolling motor, livewell, and a bait prep-station/trolling station with rod holders. It should be OK as long as we don't want to get anywhere fast. It has only 48 hours on it with a Yamaha 75 four-stroke. After I fish it for awhile I will post my thoughts for anyone else who has a wife that loves to fish but wants comfort and room over speed(bass boat). paparock
I'm leaving in the morning heading to Florida for the new boat. It's funny that my wife had a craving for Chinese food yesterday and guess what her fortune cookie said. "You will be taking a trip to the seaside soon." We just got the call this morning that our offer was accepted. I hope it's a good *** for great fishing ahead!!!
benzo73
When are you going to post some pictures?
paparock
The factory picture with my post is exactly identical to my new boat. I will have to learn how to use my new digital camera and then how to post them. By the time I have used it some I plan to post the results and pictures. codogs
Congrats, that's a nice pontoon! I take a trip down to Tanneycomo (other side of the dam of Table Rock) every year to trout fish with a few buddies. My bass boat is a little small for 3 guys, so we rent a pontoon for fishing. I think they are an excellent fishing rig. I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy it.
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 17, 2006 Super User Share Posted February 17, 2006 Congrats, that's a nice pontoon! Back when I was in grade school, middle school and the first parts of high school all of my buddies along with our dads went down there for a father/son week of fishing during spring break. We usually rented 2 pontoons and always had a great time. Ironically the worse the weather was the better the fishing. :
gajpb
Our boat--Pro Team 165--Tracker--is too small for groups. So, we are gettig a pontoon boat as well. Never thought I would, but hey--anything on the water is great. We fishermen must consider ourselves lucky. Cheers and good luck.
