welcome to GA....  i'm not too familiar with anything in your area.  Do you have a boat or kayak or anything or just hitting the bank?

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I forgot to track the topic. Hitting the bank, I had a small boat but I sold it for the move down here so it might be awhile before I get myself back into the water. I see you're from an area that I work in on a regular basis.

well hopefully you can scout out some good spots close by!  it's tough to find many good bank spots around me that aren't private.  hopefully you can find a couple around your area there that are holding some fish!

There are some decent bank fishing spots, once the water returns that is. Takes some scouting, goggle earth is good tool as well, you will find some great looking locations that will be off limits due to others abusing the kindness of the owner and not cleaning up after themselves or not respecting the owners property. Rain is on the radar for the next 3 or 4 days, may help, believe me I have tagged some 5-8lbs on Christmas day, as long as the water doesn't freeze over, you can get a tap - Jig bite brings the weight...
