I've got the chance to get a LTB dirt cheap. I want a rod that will compliment my DX745. So I guess I'm looking for a finesse casting rod, which leaves me with the 6'10 M or ML. 

For what it's worth, I'd like a rod for small finesse jigs, shakeyheads, Ned rigs, maybe some small t-rigs.

I'd look at a ml to do those things with St Croix casting or spinning. Probably 6'10" ml/xf. The light powered saltwater rods would be a good fit also. I use the mediums for light Texas rigs and heavier tunes and 5" weightless senkos. The ml I use for ned rigs, drop shot, split shot, shaky head, flick shakes, and 4" senkos. Also floating worms and some jerkbaits, underspins, and crankbaits. Very versatile rod despite the xfast rating

The 6'10" ML/XF is what you want for finesse fishing. It's my dedicated Ned rig rod.

I've been picking up this rod every time I go to F&S, I cant help but notice how it feels fast and not extra fast.

I have the that rod in the previous generation of LTB. The rod was 6'9" then but still had the XF rating. I agree that I've never had the sensation that the blank is XF, even factoring in the ML power rating.

As far as what I use it for - mostly light t-rigs with worms or craws tossed on 8lb test.
