Electric outboards

Featured Replies

Trying to figure out if these electric outboards are any good.  I am looking at the briggs and stratton for around 1500 compared to the minn kota for around 2400.  Are these things worth it and how many batteries do you have to run with this system.  Have two 54 lb minn kotas on back now and having to buy new trolling motor for the front and thinking about around 54 to 66 lb thrust for front.  If anyone has any information about these it would be appreciated....Ryan

Ryan, If you want to see the Min Kota go to Varner and check out the one on the back of the pontoon boat that is tied up on the right side of the left arm. It uses 4 batteries and is like having a 8 hp motor on the back of the boat. That pontoon can fly.
