Anybody here spend significant time fishing the Ohio River?  Especially the portion between Ohio and West Virginia??  I haven't come into contact with many people fishing for bass around here, and even the bass fishermen I've met usually fish lakes, ponds, or creeks, rather than the main river.  I'd love to learn to be able to pull some decent fish out of there that I know just HAVE to be there.  Personally I'm stuck bank or dock fishing, but I'd be interested in any Ohio River fishing tips.

P.S.  Is West Virginia really considered the Southeast as this forum is titled?  Never considered us as being from the southeast.

I don't get the southeast thing either - I fished out of Paden City last wed. - it was tough but a 1/16th oz. shroom head with a shortened elaztec finesse worm (ned rig) did the best. The fish were around weeds and/or barges.
