So I'm currently a alumni advisor for my college team, they are currently looking to expand their income. So far we have a high school tournament that brings in a couple grand, we are starting a fall tournament for a memorial scholarship, we visit several fishing shows in the off season and raffle off a rod or reel, that makes a bit of money. Any other clubs do anything that helps bring in more money? We are thinking of hosting a fundraiser at a campus bar twice a year (fall and spring semesters).

You could host a tournament on one of your major area lakes, say make the entry fee $75 per boat.  $25 would go to the college team, and the other $50 would go to tournament payouts.  Maybe get some local businesses to donate a rod or a reel for raffle.  Sometimes even the winners of the tourney will donate the winnings back to the fundraiser.  Our trail does this twice a year for the Carl Perkins Center.  Hope this helps.  Good Luck!!!!

As PuddleJumpe wrote, have an open tournament for everyone interested.

Our club had one last year and it was a big financial success.

$100 per boat with a payout of your choice for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and big fish.

Good luck.
