Boat Trailer?

Featured Replies

I am looking into buying an alumacraft 1436 jon boat later this spring.  I cant decide on a trailer to put it on.  I will be pulling the boat a good bit but for the most part not on any long trips.  How important to ya'll think a trailer for a jon boat is? Is it worth a little more money to get a better trailer for the boat?  Anyone know of a good jon boat trailer that this boat will fit well on?

I am a big fan of this trailer ever since I bought one. If you are handy it is not to hard to put together. Plus it is only $10.00 to ship.

Here is a picture of it under my boat. The winch and jack were not included.

Somebody once said that your boat is only as good as your trailer and I've come to believe it. For probably under $500 you can get a nice new trailer that everything on it works perfectly. It's a good feeling going fishing with no worries about getting there and back. For a john boat I would get a bunk style trailer over a roller style.
