Hello Guys,

i'll be fishing in saltwater while standing up or sitting on a boat by simply dropping the lure or bait straight down from the boat - and waiting to get bit...

i searched a lot and it only got me really confused between tons of different techniques ie. (Jigging,trolling,bottom fishing,spining,casting) etc

so i need to know what kind of rod and reels should i look for please?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

    A short spinning or casting rod in ML, M, or even MH, depending on where you are and what you're looking to hook up with.  You can get a combo or just buy a rod you like and match a reel to it (this is what I'd recommend).  good luck
