Loomis Deep Flex or E6X Crankbait Rods?

Featured Replies

There on Sale, anyone own any of the Deep Flex rods? In the med action range want it for squarebills and small cranks, short work to the bank, docks and cover. In the E6X it would be the 843 I believe. Thanks, need to decide today last day of sale.

I owned the 845 E6X. I used it for squarebills. I definitely wouldn't want the medium as it is too soft and not enough backbone.

No I want a soft rod and own a MH mod fast Loomis CBR and it's too stiff I use it for ripping lipless cranks. So the 843 it is. Afraid to get one of the Deep Flex blanks. Heard people say they were too soft. Thanks

If you want soft the 843 E6X will do the trick. Only thing I didnt care for was the short handle.

I do own the 7'5" Deep Flex Crankbait rod.  It's such a fun rod to fish with and if you want something that loads deeper down the blank than the CBR line, then the deep flex is the way to go.  I wouldn't hesitate on pulling the trigger.  You'll enjoy that rod.
