Project Finished (lots of Pics)

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I've been a little MIA lately and the pictures will show you where I've been spending most of my spare time. This project started off as a Grizzly 1448. We decided to make all the modifications out of aluminum. I don't even want to think of having to tear this thing down to replace any wood. Hope you guys like what we've done so far. More pics coming soon.

Both the TM and the Fishfinder live in harmony on that plate  :).

Looking great so far! It's going to start coming together quickly now.

Was that blue paint I noticed on the hull? :)

I almost lost my dad about 3 months ago and in his honor, it's "My Son III". His last two boats were My Son and My Son II. I saw all the work you did on your paint and I'm a little embarrasssed to admit that I started off with your process and ended up changing the shade of blue and used spay paint  :-[.

That looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Nice work

Very cool Peter!!  I have to ask what size boat is it?  Ie lenght and bottom width?  I like what you did with it.  Some great ideas.  Sinking that cooler in the deck is a good idea.

Great job, Peter!  I like the color.  Looks like a very proessional job!  Now go out and catch that biggun!

Awesome job! Your a Craftsman in your own right. :)

The Pa Angler

Looks like you may have come close to doubling the weight, What is going to push it?

(I'm real partial to the Yamaha HPDI 300,lol :) )

LBH,

You are right on the money, that baby is heavy. We assume that it's at least 650 lbs if not over 700 :). This boat is sitting in my back yard (no gas power allowed) and the TM is a 46 lb thrust MG.

Thanks for the compliments

Peter,  Just so you know with my 3 82lb thrust T Motors I get a solid 5.5mph by myself.  5.0 with 2 folks thats no wind nor chop.  I really think I could get another .3mph if I could somehow find a way to run my foot control without my heavy arse sitting up front.  My boat is plowing big time with me big butt up on the front pro pole.

Mike,

My house is the one in the yellow box. No where to speed to  :). Good thing is, we start fishing from the time we push the boat in.

Pete,  I don't have time to look up the GPS coords.  Are you in Florida or California or is that South SOUTH texas. Thats the only 3 places I know with Palm trees in the yard. :)
