im replacing my MK with a new MG.  what do i use to fill the holes from the old motor mount?

Dunno but I'll guess caulk? I'd suggest the 'tub and tile' adhesive caulk such as what would be appropriate for use in a shower. Ask me how I know the other regular stuff will mold up in a year?

Thats what I used some silicone chalk. It work just fine, and if you ever decide to buy the correct TM a MinKota  . You can use the old holes

I used automotive body plugs. Auto parts stores will have them and they look really good. I put a spot of silicone around the holes and push the plug in. it makes a nice job!

I replaced a MG with a MK last year and the holes lined right up. Since I went from a 42# to a 67# I did put 2 more mounting holes/bolts in the deck.

turns out the MG motors have MK-spaced mounting holes.  BUT, you have to take a plate off the front of base to find them.. once you mount the base you secure the plate with supplied screws.

So, if you are switching tm, DO NOT DRILL NEW HOLES.  It is not needed
